Depot Services

Secur-Serv understands your time is valuable. That’s why we’ve made it easy and hassle-free to service your Scantron scanner. Ship your unit to our centrally located depot repair facility in Omaha, Nebraska, using the shipping method of your choice. Once we receive your scanner, we’ll have it repaired and back to you within three business days. We cover all parts, labor, and shipping expenses under our Depot Maintenance Agreement, so you won’t have to worry about any unexpected charges.

Our Depot Maintenance Agreement also includes annual preventive maintenance, which we’ll perform when your scanner is in for service. During this routine, we’ll conduct a thorough cleaning of your scanner, inspect and tighten cable connectors, listen for and resolve any unusual system noises, check for unusual heat exposure, replace worn rollers and belts, recalibrate read heads, adjust light source intensity, review scanner speed and accuracy, and get feedback from your operations personnel to ensure optimal performance.

Enhanced Depot

If you experience any scanning issues, our toll-free help desk is here. Our technical support experts will quickly assess the situation, and once the issue is identified, we’ll send you a replacement scanner via next-day air service, arriving the following morning. Installing the new scanner is easy, and you simply return the failed unit to us for repair. We’ll cover all parts, labor, and shipping charges as part of your maintenance agreement.

We also offer annual preventive maintenance as part of our Enhanced Depot Agreement. You can ship the scanner to our Support Center in Omaha, Nebraska, or wait until your scanner is in for service. During the preventive maintenance routine, we’ll perform a thorough cleaning of the entire scanner, inspect and tighten cable connectors, listen for and solve any unusual system noises, inspect the scanner for exceptional heat exposure, replace worn rollers and belts, recalibrate read heads, adjust light source intensity, and review the speed and accuracy of the scanner. Our goal is to ensure that your scanner is operating at peak performance levels and that your operations personnel are satisfied with its performance.

Depot - Canada

If your scanner requires more extensive service than phone support can provide, you can send it to our depot repair facility located in Richmond, British Columbia. Upon receipt, our team at Secur-Serv will turn your scanner around in just three business days and return it via the same shipping method at no additional cost. We can also provide you with mailing labels and custom-designed shipping containers for ease of service.

Our Depot Maintenance Agreement also includes annual Preventive Maintenance (PM), which can be performed when your scanner is in for service. The PM consists of a thorough cleaning and inspection of the entire unit, as well as the replacement of any worn parts. Our PM checklist covers complete scanner cleaning (inside and outside), checking and tightening of cable connectors, solving any unusual noises, an inspection of the scanner for unusual heat exposure, replacement of worn rollers and belts, recalibration of read heads, adjustment of light source intensity, review of the scanner’s speed and accuracy, and a review of its performance with operations personnel.
